Reflection: Me

    Hello readers,

I’d like to describe my reasoning for creating this blog in order to, perhaps, aid the communicative process.  My intent in putting my thoughts and feelings down on a public cyber-stage is different for each entry but most fall into one or two or all of the following seven categories.
The first reason is to clarify my own thoughts so that I can know exactly what I think about a particular subject.  Novel idea, huh?  After I’ve clarified what I think, then I like to distill it to it’s essence and find a way to communicate that thought without the clutter of quotidian dialogue.  The fourth category is that of duration.  The longer I focus my energy on clarifying, condensing, and communicating my thoughts, the easier it will come to me and the more effective artist I will become.  You may be saying, “Why that’s all fine and dandy, but writing in a fucking journal would do that!”  And while there was no need for you to get so vulgar, you would be correct.  But not to fear my little roiled reader, that’s why I’ve included three more categories.  I’ve already alluded to this, but the category is communication.  I list communication twice because the difference here lies in the direction.  Most people tend to see communication as a speech not a debate, therefore I’ve listed it a second time to emphasize the reciprocating portion of the action.  In order for this blog to be a success, I need your input.  Otherwise I’m just another fruit loop over in the corner talking to my thoughts.  Another consideration I have is for the advancement of contemporary artists for whom I hold in high regard.  Whenever I stumble across another artist’s work that I am amazed by; admire; or draw inspiration from, I do my small part to share it.  And the seventh, and final purpose for this blog to exist is … shits and giggles, because without joy and laughter in our lives, then … why do it?
I hope this little epistle has given you some insight as to my personal perspective on the purpose of this page. And as Mr. Garrison Keillor says, “Be well, do good work, and keep in touch.”

Namaste,

  1. I found you, I found you!!! As you know, I’m wholly new to wordpress and it’s taken me about an hour to find your page. Do whatever it is one does to “add” or something. I’ve enjoyed reading, and will continue to enjoy perusing the prose which so eloquently chronicles your soul’s experience of passion, loss, growth, love, vulnerability, and on. Love you my brother. You know this.
